Carl Nordin (born December 23, 1989 in Örnsköldsvik ) is a Swedish ski jumper who competes for IF Friska Viljor .

Career

Nordin began his international career in 2004 in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . At the Junior World Championships 2006 in Kranj , he reached ninth place with the team. Two years later he was able to achieve eleventh place in team flying at the 2008 Ski Flying World Championships in Oberstdorf together with Isak Grimholm , Johan Eriksson and Andreas Arén . Shortly afterwards, he made his debut in the ski jumping World Cup on March 15, 2008 in team flying in Planica . He reached ninth place with the team. At the Swedish Championships in 2009 in his home town Örnsköldsvik , he won gold with the team and silver in the individual. In September 2009 he started again at the Swedish Championships, which were classified as the Swedish Championships 2010, and again won gold with the team and silver in the individual. At the Swedish Championships 2011 he won on March 13, 2011 in Sollefteå with the team gold and in the individual competition behind title winner Fredrik Balkåsen the silver medal. On February 5, 2012 in Örnsköldsvik he achieved silver for the fourth time in a row at the Swedish championships in the individual on the normal hill and gold with the team and on the large hill. In 2013 he achieved his best placement at world championships with 44th place at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Val di Fiemme .

At the 2015 Swedish Championships , Nordin won silver in the individual competition on the normal hill and gold in the individual competition on the large hill.

Private

Nordin now lives in his hometown of Ornskoldsvik and speaks his native language Swedish nor English .

Carl Nordin is the younger brother of Jonas Nordin , who was also active as a ski jumper in the Continental Cup until 2006.
