Halvard "Harry" Lien (born May 15, 1896 in Holt , Norway , † September 19, 1978 in Chicago ) was an American ski jumper .

Lien was born in Norway, but emigrated to the United States in 1914. During the First World War he was a member of the US Army. In the United States, he started ski jumping at the Norge Ski Club in Chicago after the war . At the Olympic Winter Games in Chamonix in 1924 , he reached 16th place on the normal hill. After his active career, Lien was involved in building the ski jumping hills in Hayward , Duluth and Iron Mountain .

In 1969 he was inducted into the US Ski Association's Hall of Fame.
