In 2001 and 2002 , Bogner, who now lives in Schönau am Königssee and started ski jumping at the age of five, won the German Schoolchildren's Championship. At the Junior World Championships in 2004 in Stryn , he won the bronze medal with the team. Shortly afterwards he became German youth champion. In the same year he won the overall ranking in the Alpine Cup in both the individual and the team. He repeated this success in 2005. In 2005 he also won the German Cup in the J16 age group. In 2006 he also won the German Cup. At the 2006 OPA games, he took 3rd place in the individual and 2nd place with the team. In the same year he became German champion with the team. In the individual competition he reached 5th place. On February 11, 2007, he started in Willingen for the first time in the ski jumping world cup in the team competition and was able to jump to 3rd place with the German team and thus to the podium. He was then nominated for the Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 in Sapporo , where he came in 5th in the team competition. From the 2007/08 season he started in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . On August 19, 2007, he achieved his first podium finish in this competition at the summer competition in Lillehammer . On February 8, 2008 Bogner qualified in Liberec for the first time for an individual World Cup competition and with 33rd place just missed the second round. At the Four Hills Tournament 2008/09 he came in 43rd place in the overall standings thanks to good results. At the Junior World Championship in 2009 in Štrbské Pleso , he again won silver with the team. He also succeeded in this in 2010 at the Junior World Championships in Hinterzarten . On February 3, 2010, Bogner reached the second round of the FIS Team Tour 2010 for the first time in his career and thus won his first World Cup point in 30th place.
