Career

Horlacher became German Vice-Student Master in 2002 and German Student Master a year later. In December 2005 he came second twice in the German Cup and took third place overall. In 2006 he took tenth place in the Alpine Cup . On January 28, 2007 he made his debut in the World Cup in Oberstdorf and was able to achieve his first World Cup point with 30th place. A week later, he achieved his best World Cup result to date with 25th place in Titisee-Neustadt . After he was able to score in Klingenthal as 28th , he finished the 2006/07 season as 72nd overall. At the 2007 Junior World Championships in Tarvisio , he jumped to tenth place in the individual and fourth in the team. At the German Championships at the end of July 2007 in Winterberg , he finished third, tied with Martin Schmitt, behind Stephan Hocke and Julian Musiol . Due to these successes and the weakness of some established athletes, he was appointed by coach Peter Rohwein to the squad for the Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 in Sapporo , but was not used. At the beginning of 2008 he came to two more World Cup appearances, but could not qualify for the second round. On July 16, 2008, he had a hard crash during a training jump in Klingenthal and was therefore completely out of the season for the 2008/2009 season. At the German Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 2009 , Horlacher won the gold medal with Baden-Württemberg's selection, and three years later it was third in the team competition in Klingenthal.

Horlacher is mainly used in the Continental Cup . His best placings there were two seventh places in summer jumping competitions in Kranj, Slovenia in 2008 and 2009.

In September 2014 Horlacher competed in his last international jumping competition.
