Roberto Dellasega (born June 15, 1990 in Cavalese ) is a former Italian ski jumper .

Career

Dellasega began his professional career at the age of 15 and started on September 17, 2005 for the first time in a jumping in the FIS Cup . When jumping on his home hill in Predazzo , however, he did not get beyond 70th place. On February 3, 2007 he competed in his first competition in the Continental Cup and came in 48th place on the large hill in Pragelato . At the Junior World Championships 2007 in Tarvisio he reached the 9th place in team jumping. On December 14th, 2008, he competed in his first World Cup competition and finished 41st on the large hill in Pragelato, thus remaining without World Cup points. At the Junior World Championships in 2008 in Štrbské Pleso , he jumped to 8th place on the normal hill and was seventh with the team. At the ski flying in Oberstdorf on February 14th, 2009 he only just failed in qualification. He also missed the qualification on the large hill at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec in 2009 . In the team competition he finished eleventh with the team behind the team from Germany. At the start of the Nordic Tournament 2009 in Lahti , he failed with 42nd place in the qualification. In Kuopio he made the leap into the final round, which he finished in 36th. At the World Cup jumping on January 17, 2010 in Sapporo , he was the 29th to achieve his first World Cup points. At the 2010 Olympic Winter Games , he was disqualified from the normal hill because of a suit that was too big. In the qualification on the large hill, he could not qualify for the final as 44th.

When jumping on December 22, 2013 in Engelberg , Switzerland , he was able to jump back into the points for the first time in almost four years and achieved his best World Cup result with 21st place.

In March 2018 Roberto Dellasega ended his career as a ski jumper after the final weekend of the Ski Jumping World Cup 2017/18 , the Planica 7 .

Roberto and Diego Dellasega are cousins.
