Volodymyr Weredjuk ( Ukrainian Володимир Вередюк ; born April 7, 1993 in Vorokhta ) is a former Ukrainian ski jumper .

Career

Weredjuk completed his first international jumping at the age of 12 at the Junior World Championships in Kranj . On the normal hill he reached the 65th place. A year later he started on February 17, 2007 for the first time in the FIS Cup in Zakopane, Poland and finished jumping in 33rd place. The next day he finished 29th. Further competitions in the FIS Cup followed. At the Junior World Championships 2008 in Tarvisio , Italy , he finished 56th on the normal hill and was able to achieve 13th place in team jumping. On February 2, 2008, he jumped in the Continental Cup for the first time in Zakopane , but was only 79. At the Junior World Championship that took place three weeks later, he was 61 on the same hill.

On November 29, 2008 he was part of the Ukrainian team at the World Cup team competition in Kuusamo, Finland , where he and the team came in ninth together with Volodymyr Boschtschuk , Oleksandr Lasarowytsch and Vitaly Schumbarez . At the Junior World Championships in 2009 in Štrbské Pleso he was 68th on the normal hill and reached 16th place with the team in team jumping. At the start of the Summer Grand Prix 2009 he was again nominated for a team competition. Together with Oleksandr Lasarowytsch, Vitaly Schumbarez and Volodymyr Boschtschuk he took 13th place. a few days later he jumped again in the Fis Cup, but only ever finished in the lower ranks. At the beginning of the next season he was again in the squad for a team competition in Kuusamo. With the same team as in the summer, he finished 14th and last. On January 16, 2010, he was 24th in Szczyrk, Poland, for the first time in almost three years. A few days later he made it to 62nd place at the Junior World Championships in Hinterzarten . He finished 15th with the team. Since then, he has almost exclusively competed in competitions in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup , but has not yet reached the second round. in Hinterzarten he returned to the team competition in the summer grand prix in August, but was only 14th and last together with Wassyl Schurakivskyj , Vitaly Schumbarez and Volodymyr Boschtschuk. At the summer jumping competition on August 11, 2012 in Kuopio , Finland , he was the 27th to win Continental Cup points for the first time.

Weredjuk still does not belong to the permanent national team, but is still used in team competitions in the World Cup. Usually, however, Ukraine cannot provide a team. This is due to the lack of funding for the Ski Jumping Association of Ukraine.
