Career

Elverum Sorsell started in Rælingen in summer 2004 for the first time in an international ski jumping event. In February 2005, he started in Brotterode for the first time in a ski jumping Continental Cup , where he was able to jump straight into the points when he was twelfth. After the Junior World Championship in 2005 in Rovaniemi , in which he was eliminated in the individual competition after the first round and finished sixth in the team competition, he only competed in the FIS Cup for a while. After the following Junior World Cup in 2006 in Kranj , where he finished 25th, he competed in the Continental Cup throughout. Here he mostly fought to get into the second round. At the 2007 Junior World Championships in Tarvisio , he was able to improve again slightly and was 21st in the individual and fifth with the team. After further Continental Cups, he got his first appearances in the World Cup in the 2007/08 season , but always missed the second round. At the Continental Cups, in which he took part this season, he was able to perform well, placing himself in the top ten several times and on the podium three times. In the summer of 2008 he competed at the Summer Grand Prix , but could not get into the points here. At the beginning of the 2008/09 World Cup season he was able to achieve World Cup points for the first time with a 22nd place in jumping in Trondheim . On January 31, 2009 in Sapporo he achieved his best World Cup result so far with a 17th place.

On December 10, 2010, Elverum Sorsell won a Continental Cup competition for the first time in Vikersund , a success that he was able to repeat on January 13, 2013 in Sapporo.

After two more mixed years, Elverum Sorsell competed in his last international competition in February 2015 and finished the Lahti Continental Cup in ninth place.
