Ole Marius Ingvaldsen started ski jumping at the age of six after his father took him to the ski jumping hill.
Ingvaldsen began his international career in 2007 in the FIS Cup . From December 2007 he started firmly in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . Ingvaldsen, who started for Steinkjer SK, first attracted attention in January 2008 when he finished second in the Continental Cup competition in Sapporo , his best result in the Continalcup to date. It was not until January 2012 that he was able to repeat this placement - again in Sapporo. On December 6th of the same year he also took part in the Ski Jumping World Cup for the first time , but where he only came in 45th place and could not win any World Cup points. He then succeeded on December 4, 2010 when he came 20th in Lillehammer . In the same season, he was able to achieve his best World Cup placements to date in tenth in Sapporo and Vikersund .
