Kim Heung-soo (born October 4, 1980 in Nagano , Japan ) is a former South Korean ski jumper . Since 2007 he has been the head coach of the South Korean ski jumpers.

Career

Kim took part in the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano . He was 61st on the normal hill and 62nd on the large hill. The next year he finished eleventh at the Summer Grand Prix in Hakuba with Choi Yong-jik , Kim Hyun-ki and Choi Heung-chul . After he had jumped unsuccessfully in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup until 2002 and finished 36th and 35th in two FIS competitions in Tarvisio in early 2003 , he ended his career.

He has coached the South Korean national ski jumping team since 2007. The team currently consists of Choi Heung-chul, Choi Yong-jik (now Choi Seou), Kang Chil-gu , Kim Hyun-ki and Park Je-un .
