Career

Josef Larsson, who competed for Sollefteå GIF , started on September 2nd and 3rd, 2006 for the first time in two competitions in Örnsköldsvik in the FIS Cup , where he finished 40th and 38th. After further starts in the FIS Cup, Larsson made his debut on March 1 and 2, 2008 in Vancouver in the Continental Cup , where he reached the 33rd place twice and thus just missed the first Continental Cup points. In the following years he started exclusively in FIS and Continental Cup competitions. His only appearance in the Ski Jumping World Cup was in a team competition in Willingen on February 7th, 2010, where he finished 14th and last with Carl Nordin , Fredrik Balkaasen and Isak Grimholm .

At the Swedish Championships 2011 in Sollefteå Larsson won the gold medal in the normal hill competition. He also won the bronze medal on the large hill and in the team competition together with Benjamin Larsson and Erik Gundersson . A year later he won bronze in the individual competition on the normal hill and silver in the team competition at the 2012 championships in Örnsköldsvik , again together with Erik Gundersson and Benjamin Larsson.

For the 2011/12 season Larsson was nominated for the Swedish A-Team.

In January 2012, Larsson started the Continental Cup competition in Bischofshofen for the last time. Although he is no longer active ski jumping at international level, he has since won other medals at Swedish championships.
