Career

In 2003, Colloredo won his first national medal at the Italian Championships, where he won bronze. Two years later he won his first Italian championship title. On December 10, 2005 he made his debut in the ski jumping World Cup while jumping in Harrachov , where he immediately reached the second round and was tenth there. Since then he has been one of the regular jumpers for the Italians in the World Cup and has placed well several times. He finished his best jumping so far on December 3, 2006 in Lillehammer with an eighth place. At the 2006 Olympic Games he was used in all three competitions, but did not achieve any notable placements.

At the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver he reached 29th place in jumping from the normal hill, tied with Nikolai Karpenko . He finished 27th on the large hill. In 2011 he jumped his personal best distance of 210.5 m while ski flying in Planica . In 2012 he again won the gold medal on the normal as well as the large hill, the gold medal at the Italian Championships. He has held this title unbeaten since 2005.

At the premiere of the mixed competition in the World Cup on November 24, 2012 in Lillehammer , Norway , he took third place with Elena Runggaldier , Andrea Morassi and Evelyn Insam and thus achieved his first World Cup podium. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme , he missed the finals in both individual competitions as 36th on the normal hill and 32nd on the large hill. In the mixed team competition held for the first time at a World Cup, he was seventh with the Italian team, in the same line-up that was third at the start of the World Cup. He finished eighth with the team on the large hill.

In the 2013/14 season , Colloredo went without a World Cup point for the first time since his debut in 2005. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he reached the finals in both individual competitions and was 28th on the normal hill and 30th on the large hill. An Italian team did not start in Sochi. After the Winter Olympics, he started at the Ski Flying World Championships in Harrachov in March 2014 and finished 39th in the individual.

Also in the 2014/15 season he could not get any World Cup points. He qualified for only four individual competitions, in which he did not get past 43rd place. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2015 in Falun , he confirmed the results from the World Cup and was 44th on the normal hill and 42nd on the large hill. In the mixed team competition he finished ninth and twelfth place with the team on the large hill.

On August 28, 2015, in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm , he achieved his first podium finish in the Continental Cup, finishing second behind Klemens Murańka . On December 13, 2015, he was the 24th in Nizhny Tagil to win World Cup points for the first time after two seasons without points. In the 2015/16 season he managed to do this again in Engelberg . At the 2016 Ski Flying World Championships on the Kulm , he finished 39th in the individual competition.

On January 4, 2017, he achieved his first top ten placement in an individual World Cup since February 2013 as part of the Four Hills Tournament 2016/17 in Innsbruck , finishing ninth . In the mixed team competition he was seventh with the Italian team. At the season finale in Planica , he jumped a new personal best in training on March 23, 2017 with 221.0 meters.

In the summer of 2017, Colloredo successfully jumped in the Summer Grand Prix . He achieved a top ten placement as seventh in Wisła and made it into the top 20 several times. As a result, he achieved his best placement in the overall Grand Prix ranking as 20th with 116 points. However, he could not take these achievements with him into the winter season. He achieved only one result in the points in the World Cup . As 30th in Bischofshofen , he only got one World Cup point. At the Ski Flying World Championships 2018 in Oberstdorf he was 28th in the individual competition. In February 2018, he took part in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang for the fourth time . He started there in all three competitions, but never reached the finals. He finished 42nd in the individual competition on the normal hill and 40th in the individual competition on the large hill . With the Italian team he was eleventh on the large hill .

The Italian record champion was a participant in the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld and achieved his best ranking of the season with a 22nd place on the normal hill. From the large hill in Innsbruck Colloredo could not qualify for the second round after a poor performance and the 47th place. In the final mixed competition he was eighth with the Italian team.
