Ski Flying World Championship 2014

The ski flying world championship 2014 took place from March 13th to 16th on the Čerťák ski flying hill in Harrachov , Czech Republic . Harrachov was the venue for the ski flying world championship for the fourth time. In the individual competition Severin Freund became world champion after two rounds on March 14th, as the rest of the individual competition was canceled on the following day due to irregular wind conditions. The team competition was canceled shortly before the start on March 16 because of the continued prevailing storm. The defending champions were Robert Kranjec and the Austrian team.

Attendees

59 athletes from 17 nations were registered for the start list. Only nations with at least four starters could take part in the team competition, in the individual competition only a maximum of four jumpers per nation. The Slovenian team was exempt from the latter rule, as they were allowed to send an additional jumper into the competition with Robert Kranjec , the defending champion in the individual.

The jumpers not considered for the qualification are shown in italics , the jumpers qualified for the individual competition are shown in bold . The pre-qualified jumpers are also marked with (vq).

qualification

Anders Bardal and Dmitri Wassiljew won the qualification with flights at 191.5 and 193.5 meters. The already pre-qualified athletes are not to be taken into account in this ranking; these were the best ten of the ski flying discipline world cup.
