Daniele Varesco (born July 25, 1995 ) is an Italian ski jumper .

Career

Varesco made his debut in international competition at two competitions as part of the Alpencup on January 24th and 25th, 2009 in Reit im Winkl , where he finished 62nd and 63rd. After two tenth places in the individual and with the team at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck , he finally made his debut in Kranj in February 2013 with places 35 and 36 in the FIS Cup . In December of that year, Varesco started in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup for the first time with a 51st and a 60th place in Lahti , further competitions followed. Towards the end of the 2013/14 World Cup season , he tried four times to qualify for a World Cup competition. Since he did not succeed in this, further good placements in the FIS, Alpine and Continental Cup followed. In December 2014, Varesco finally qualified for the World Cup competitions in Nizhny Tagil , where he made his debut with 48th and 39th places. Several appearances in team competitions followed, in which Varesco competed with the Italian team, but never reached the final. This was also not the case at the 2015 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun , where he and his team only reached eleventh place. After successfully qualifying for the individual competition on the normal hill, Varesco came in 46th place in the competition, but could not qualify for the individual competition on the large hill.
