Career

Kožíšek was accepted into the national team in 2006 and started on January 14, 2006 for the first time in the FIS Cup in Harrachov . At the Junior World Championships in 2007 in Tarvisio , Italy , he was seventh with the team on the normal hill. After further jumping in the FIS Cup, he started in Engelberg for the first time in the Continental Cup on December 27, 2007 . At the Junior World Championships in 2008 in Zakopane , Poland , in contrast to 2007, he no longer jumped in team jumping. In the individual on the normal hill he reached 18th place. Another year followed in the Continental Cup, where he achieved 8th place on December 28, 2008 in Engelberg, his best individual result to date. On January 23, 2009 he jumped for the first time in the senior national team in Whistler with the qualification for a World Cup competition and was able to qualify surprisingly as 37th. When jumping the following day, he was eliminated after 43rd place in the first round. He finished the second competition in 44th place. At the Junior World Championships in 2009 in Štrbské Pleso , Slovakia , he reached 5th place on the normal hill and 8th place in team competition. At the ski flying in Oberstdorf on February 14th, 2009 he was again in the A-team and, after jumping to 11th place in the qualification, reached 39th place in the final. Up until then this was his best individual result in the World Cup. In the team competition he finished seventh together with Borek Sedlák , Jan Matura and Lukáš Hlava . At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2010 in Hinterzarten , he was ninth with the team and 36th in the individual competition. A year later he reached his age-related last Junior World Championships in Otepää , Estonia , he reached 29th place in the individual on the normal hill and eighth place in the team event with the Czech team.

On January 20, 2013, Kožíšek achieved his first podium finish in the Continental Cup in third place in Bischofshofen, Austria . A week later he reached his first World Cup points in Vikersund with 23rd place in ski flying. By the end of the season he reached the finals several times, but only in ski flying competitions. At the 2013 Winter Universiade in Trentino , Italy , whose ski jumping competitions were held in Predazzo , he and his compatriot Michaela Doleželová took fourth place in the mixed competition. In the individual competitions he was sixth on the large hill and eighth on the normal hill.

In the summer of 2013 he achieved two more podium finishes in the Continental Cup in Kranj and Kuopio . Then he landed on August 23, 2013 in third place for the first time on the podium of a Grand Prix jumping . In the course of the rest of the Summer Grand Prix , four more top ten placements followed. He finished the 2013 summer season in sixth place in both the Grand Prix overall standings and the summer COC standings. In the following World Cup season he did not get past 32nd place on the Kulm and therefore remained without a World Cup point. Even in the 2014/15 World Cup season , he did not manage to jump into the top 30. He only had one World Cup start where he was 38th in Vikersund. Otherwise he failed in the qualification or started in the COC . At the 2015 Winter Universiade in Štrbské Pleso , Slovakia , he was 17th in the individual.

The 2015/16 season was a little more successful for Kožíšek. He again took part in World Cup competitions several times, including three missions with the Czech team. In the individual competitions he reached the top 30 three times and collected a total of seven World Cup points. After a few appearances in the 2016 Summer Grand Prix , which he finished 64th overall, he had no involvement in the World Cup or in qualifying for it the following winter . Instead, he started the Continental Cup with eleventh place in March 2017 as the best result. At the Winter Universiade 2017 on February 4, 2017, he and his compatriot Marta Křepelková won the silver medal in the mixed competition behind the first and in front of the second Japanese team and came sixth in the individual competition.

In the 2017/18 season he commuted between the World Cup and the COC . On January 10, 2018, he reached his fourth COC podium of his career in third place, compared to the previous one about four and a half years ago. In February 2018, he took part in the Winter Olympics for the first time in Pyeongchang . In the individual competition on the normal hill he failed as 54th in the qualification, in the individual competition on the large hill he was 28th. In the team competition on the large hill , he missed the finals with the Czech team, which was tenth.

At the 2019 World Championships in Seefeld in Tirol , he was 34th on the large hill and 39th on the normal hill. With the Czech men's team, he finished eighth in the team competition.
