Jakub Jiroutek (born August 13, 1977 in Broumov ) is a former Czech ski jumper .

Jiroutek, who started for Dukla Liberec, competed in his first World Cup competition on January 15, 1994 in his home town of Liberec . With a 26th place on the normal hill, he was able to collect his first World Cup points in this jumping. On the large hill this was denied to him after 37th place. At the ski flying world championship in 1996 on the Kulm he was 21st. Two years followed without any major success. Jiroutek could rarely jump into the points. On March 1st, 1998 in ski flying in Vikersund , he achieved 5th place, the best individual result of his career in the ski jumping World Cup . In the following years he could no longer build on this achievement. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1999 in Ramsau am Dachstein , Austria , he only achieved a disappointing 51st place on the normal hill and only 50th place on the large hill. In the jumping to the Ski Flying World Championships 2000 in Vikersund he came in 33rd place. Since he could no longer stabilize his performance and could not jump into the points in any of the following World Cups, he was transferred to the squad for the Continental Cup (COC) from November 2001 . Here he was able to jump in the points from the start, which is why he stayed in this series until the end of his career. In 2002 he was nominated again for 4 World Cup competitions, including one team competition. Surprisingly, on January 26th, 2002 in Sapporo, Japan , he jumped to 27th place and was able to win 4 World Cup points. At the Ski Flying World Championships in Harrachov in 2002 , Jiroutek also came in 27th. After the following season was rather bad for him, Jiroutek ended his active ski jumping career after the Summer Continental Cup on August 3, 2003. Today he is committed to the next generation of jumpers in his home town of Liberec.
