Eric Mitchell (born April 10, 1992 in Calgary ) is a retired Canadian ski jumper .

Mitchell made his FIS Cup debut in Whistler in February 2008 . In March 2008 he started there in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup and immediately won COC points as 27th and 29th, but these two competitions were also weak. He finished the 2007/08 season with six points in 138th place overall.

In the 2008/09 season he also appeared in the European Continental Cup for the first time, but could not score.

It wasn't until the 2009/10 season that he made the leap towards scoring again. At the 2010 Olympic Winter Games , Mitchell dropped out of the individual competition on the normal and large hill in the qualification. In team jumping he and his teammates MacKenzie Boyd-Clowes , Trevor Morrice and Stefan Read reached 12th place.

On January 12th, 2011 he reached his best place in the Continental Cup with 15th place in jumping in the Korean Pyeongchang .

In summer 2011 he won an FIS Cup in Szczyrk . In the 2011/2012 season , however, he did not win any Continental Cup points in any jumping competition. At the Junior World Championships 2012 in Erzurum , he finished 27th. At the end of the season he finished fourth on both the normal and the large hill at the Canadian Championships in Whistler. He didn't score any points in the Continental Cup in the 2012/2013 season either.

On September 4, 2013, Mitchell announced his retirement as an active ski jumper in order to concentrate on his studies at the University of Calgary.
