Björn Koch (born January 24, 1993 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian ski jumper .

Career

Koch made his international debut at an Alpine Cup on December 19, 2008 and finished in 66th place. On January 31, 2009 he made his debut in the FIS Cup in Eisenerz and finished in 41st place. In October 2009, Koch took his first FIS Cup points as 17th in Einsiedeln . After several good results in the Alpine Cup, he made it onto the podium for the first time on January 10, 2010 in the Alpine Cup as the second. A week later, after several FIS Cups and Alpine Cups in Titisee-Neustadt , Koch made his Continental Cup debut and came second straight away. He also competed in the Continental Cup in Zakopane and Kranj and scored points in three of the four competitions. After Koch competed in two FIS Cups and two FIS races in Zaō , he only started in the Alpine Cup until January 2011. Then he started at the Continental Cups in Bischofshofen and Zakopane and scored points in three of the four competitions, but only six in total. At the FIS Cups in Kranj, Koch came second twice, at the FIS Cups in Ramsau he finished second and one. As a result, he finished fourth in the FIS Cup overall ranking. He also continued to compete in the Alpencup.
