At the end of 2002, Français started internationally for the first time in an FIS race in Hinterzarten and finished in 39th place. At the beginning of 2003 he finished 15th in the team and 59th in the individual at the Junior World Championships in Sollefteå . In summer 2004 he made his debut for further FIS races in Ramsau in the Continental Cup and was 53 the first time he took in the summer of 2007 in Lillehammer Continental Cup points. In August 2008 he made his debut in the Summer Grand Prix in Einsiedeln and finished in 49th place. On November 27, 2009 in Kuusamo he took sixth place in his first team competition with Andreas Küttel , Pascal Egloff and Simon Ammann . The next day he finished 47th in his first individual competition in the World Cup. This season he was used in several other World Cups, but always missed the qualification. In Willingen he also started a team competition and finished 13th with Antoine Guignard , Gregor Deschwanden and Marco Grigoli . At the Continental Cup in Engelberg he achieved the best Continental Cup result of his career in 13th place. In the summer of 2010 , he could not build on his good performance in the previous season, he remained without a point. In winter he was only used in Kuusamo and Engelberg in the World Cup. In Kuusamo, he took ninth place in the team competition with Andreas Küttel, Marco Grigoli and Simon Ammann. Also in the Continental Cup he remained without a point.
After the 2010/11 season , he announced that he would end his career.
