Kim-Roar Hansen (born March 24, 1984 in Drammen ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper .

Career

Hansen competed in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup (COC) for the first time in the 2001/02 season . In the following season 2002/03 he was appointed to the Norwegian World Cup team. In the World Cup he was able to achieve some results among the best 15th and at the end of the season he reached 36th place in the overall standings. However, he was only the seventh best Norwegian and was downgraded to the national B team starting in the COC the following season. The coach gave him the opportunity to attend training camps for the senior national team and to return to the World Cup team with good performances. After finishing second at the Continental Cup in Lillehammer in mid-December , he started at the World Cup in Engelberg a week later . However, since he missed the second round with a 34th place, he started again in the COC from the beginning of 2004. At the Norwegian Championships in Bardu in 2004 he won the bronze medal in the team competition together with Tommy Egeberg , Ole Christen Enger and Sigurd Pettersen .

In the World Cup he was able to occupy good placements at first, but at the end of the season his form got worse and worse. There were also some disciplinary misconduct, such as a lost jump suit and an unauthorized night out at the COC in Kuopio . That is why he was only used as a forerunner at the end of the COC season, ski flying in Vikersund . After the end of the season, his membership in the B-squad was temporarily withdrawn to give him the opportunity to reflect on his situation. Shortly afterwards, at the age of only 19, Hansen ended his career due to a lack of motivation.
