Jens Salumäe (born March 15, 1981 in Tallinn ) is a former Estonian ski jumper .

Career

Jens Salumäe jumped during his active career for the Estonian club Nõmme SK and for the Finnish club Puijon Hihtoseura from Lahti. He took part in the World Cup for the first time in the 2002/2003 season and finished 82nd at the end of the season. Before that, he jumped in 2002 at the Summer Grand Prix in Lahti (43rd) and at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Park City , Utah , (49th place). His best World Cup placement was a 21st place on November 30, 2003 in Kuusamo . His best overall World Cup placement was 59th place (2005/2006). Salumäe currently holds the Estonian ski jumping record. Before his career as a special jumper, Salumäe was a Nordic combined athlete. After the 2007/2008 season, Jens Salumäe ended his active career as a special jumper.
