Satoru Matsuhashi ( Japanese 松 橋 暁 , Matsuhashi Satoru ; born December 6, 1961 in Kazuno ) is a former Japanese ski jumper .

Career

Matsuhashi made his debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup on December 30, 1980 as part of the Four Hills Tournament 1980/81 . However, he was unsuccessful on the tour. Also in the following year he could not achieve any successes at the Four Hills Tournament 1981/82 . At his first World Cup outside of the tour in Sapporo , however, he won first World Cup points with 13th place and thus finished 59th in the overall World Cup ranking at the end of the 1981/82 World Cup season.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1982 , Matsuhashi jumped 38th on the normal hill and 42nd on the large hill. This was followed by a two-year international break before he achieved the best result of his career with 11th place in his last World Cup competition in Sapporo.

Matsuhashi ended his active ski jumping career by participating in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo . He reached the 34th place on the normal hill and 20th place on the large hill.
