Kazuno ( Japanese 鹿角 市 , - shi ) is a city in Akita Prefecture on Honshū , the main island of Japan .
geography
Kazuno is northeast of Akita and south of Aomori . In the urban area are the 1,366 m high Akita-Yake-yama and the 1,613 m high Hachimantai of the Ōu Mountains .
The Yoneshiro-gawa flows through the city .
