Ken'ichi Takahashi

Ken'ichi Takahashi ( Japanese 高橋 健 一 , Takahashi Ken'ichi ; born January 16, 1973 in Kazuno ) is a former Japanese long-distance runner who had his greatest successes in road running .

In 1996 he won the 30-km run from Kumamoto and 1997, the 10- mile -Läufe of Karatsu and Kosa . In 1998 he won the Sydney Marathon.

In 2000 he won the last edition of the Tokyo Half Marathon with the Japanese record time of 1:00:30 h and won again in Kumamoto and Karatsu. He finished second in the Sendai half marathon .

In 2001 he finished second in the Kagawa Marugame Half Marathon and won the Tokyo International Men's Marathon and the Sendai Half Marathon. In the Marathon of the World Athletics Championships in Edmonton , he came in 26th place.

At the 2005 World Cross Country Championships , he finished 69th.
