Johan Munters (born August 23, 1978 ) is a former Swedish ski jumper .

Career

On February 4, 1995 Munters jumped for the first time as part of the national group at the World Cup jumping in Falun . On the normal as well as the large hill, however, he could not convince with a 58th and a 62nd place. Two years later he started again in Falun, but this time too he did not get beyond the 53rd place on the large hill. On January 1st, 1999 he started for the first time outside of Sweden at the New Year's competition in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . He reached a 44th place there and remained there without World Cup points. He reached his first points at the beginning of the 2000/01 World Cup season . In the jumping of Kuopio he was able to jump into the top 20 for the first and last time of his career with 18th place. With the team he reached 10th place on February 2, 2001 in Willingen . At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2001 in Lahti, Munters reached 49th place on the normal hill and 50th place on the large hill. With the team he reached 10th place in both team competitions. After the World Cup, he was able to win World Cup points again in Falun, but just missed them in Oslo. He finished the season in 62nd place in the overall World Cup standings. In November 2001 he jumped two more competitions as part of the Continental Cup in Kuusamo , but could not achieve any success and ended his active ski jumping career after jumping on November 18, 2001.
