Yukitaka Fukita ( Japanese 吹 田 幸 隆 , Fukita Yukitaka ; born August 28, 1972 in Sapporo ) is a former Japanese ski jumper .

Career

In his first World Cup competition in his hometown of Sapporo on January 21, 1995, Fukita was able to win his first World Cup points with 14th place on the normal hill. He was also able to jump into the points in the two following competitions on the large hill in Sapporo and the normal hill in Falun . In Falun he narrowly missed a place in the top 10. Until 1999, Fukita recorded varying results. So he usually ended up in the bottom of the points or was eliminated in the first round. He was rarely able to jump into the top 20. On January 23, 1999 he achieved the best result of his career with 9th place on the large hill in Sapporo. From 2001 Fukita only jumped in World Cups in Japan, from January 2002 even only in competitions in the Continental Cup . Since he could not achieve any great success, he ended his active jumping career at the age of 29 after jumping in Zao on March 13, 2002.
