Two Continental Cup competitions were held in 2009 and 2011 . In February 2017, two World Cup competitions each for women and men took place in the Alpensia Jumping Park as a pre-event for the 2018 Winter Olympics . It was originally planned that both women's jumping competitions would be on the normal hill and both men's jumping competitions on the large hill . Due to strong winds, the second men's competition was held on the normal hill like the two women's competitions. The Austrian Stefan Kraft set a new record for the normal hill with 113.5 meters on February 16, 2017, after the German Stephan Leyhe and the Slovenian Anže Lanišek achieved a new record for the large hill with 139.5 meters each the day before had.
All jumping competitions organized by the FIS are named.
Further use
The grandstands at the end of the ski jump can be used for football matches. The South Korean first division club Gangwon FC used the lower part of the hill for their home games from 2016 to 2017 .
