Sabrina Windmüller (born October 13, 1987 in Walenstadt ) is a former Swiss ski jumper .

Career

Windmüller made her debut in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup (COC) on January 18, 2006 and reached 31st place in Toblach, Italy . A year later she was able to jump into the top 15 for the first time in Villach and reached 13th place. On February 8, 2007, she achieved ninth place in Saalfelden, her highest individual result to date. The 2006/07 season finally ended in 34th place. In the following season, she could not build on her performance. It was not until the 2008/09 season that she achieved a 22nd place in the overall COC ranking with 177 points. She achieved her best overall ranking in the 2009/10 season . In the individual competitions she mostly placed between 10th and 20th place, on March 7, 2010 at the jumping in Zakopane she achieved a top ten result with ninth place.

On January 7th, 2012 she achieved the greatest success of her career with her first victory in an individual World Cup competition in Hinterzarten .

After the 2012/13 season, Windmüller was elected to the FIS Athletes' Commission alongside Kamil Stoch to represent the interests of the female ski jumpers.

In the summer of 2017, Windmüller ended her career after a long injury break.

Private

Sabrina Windmüller is the older sister of Bigna Windmüller , who was also active as a ski jumper in the World Cup. She was a student at the Swiss School of Tourism and Hospitality (SSTH) in Chur.
