Bor Pavlovčič (born June 27, 1998 ) is a Slovenian ski jumper .

Career

Pavlovčič made his international debut at the Alpencup in Ramsau am Dachstein in December 2011. The then 13-year-old was still behind the top 50. In September 2014, he made it into the points for the first time in the Alpine Cup in Tschagguns (Austria). In Seefeld in Tyrol he reached the top 10 for the first time in eighth place. At the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2015 in Tschagguns he won the gold medal after finishing seventh in the individual with the team from the normal hill. The team finished sixth on the small hill. In February 2015 Pavlovčič made his debut in the FIS Cup in Hinterzarten and jumped into the points as 29th. At the beginning of winter 2015/16 he reached an Alpine Cup podium for the first time in Seefeld and came third. Then he got a place in the ski jumping Continental Cup a week later . He surprised already in the first jumping of Engelberg in tenth place. On January 9, 2016, as fourth from Garmisch-Partenkirchen , he narrowly missed his first Continental Cup podium. He finally achieved this with a third place in Sapporo two weeks later. He then stayed in Sapporo and started qualifying for the Ski Jumping World Cup . In 29th he managed to get a starting position. In the following two World Cup competitions, he collected his first World Cup points as 26th and 16th.

At the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer , Pavlovčič won gold both individually and with the team. At the following Junior World Championships in 2016 Râșnov he reached 10th place in the individual competition, he was fifth in the first team competition with the team. In the second team competition, the team won the gold medal.

At the Slovenian Championships in Planica in 2016 , Pavlovčič won the bronze medal in the team competition together with Rok Tarman , Anže Lavtižar and Lojze Petek .

At the Junior World Championships 2017 in Park City , Utah , Pavlovčič won the team competition on the normal hill together with Žiga Jelar , Aljaž Osterc and Tilen Bartol the gold medal ahead of Germany and Austria.

On February 18, 2017, Pavlovčič celebrated his first victory in the Continental Cup at the home competition in Planica . The next day he finished second behind Tilen Bartol in the second competition .

On December 23, 2018 Pavlovčič won the bronze medal at the Slovenian Championships 2018 in Planica behind Timi Zajc and Anže Semenič .
