Aljaž Osterc (born March 2, 1999 ) is a Slovenian ski jumper .

Career

Aljaž Osterc starts for SSK Velenje . He made his debut on September 13 and 14, 2014 in Einsiedeln in the Alpencup , where he finished 58th and 46th. In March 2016, Osterc started in Planica for the first time in the FIS Cup and reached positions 15 and 14 there.

On August 20 and 21, 2016, Osterc made his debut in Kuopio in the Continental Cup and reached places 5 and 24. His best placements in the Continental Cup so far were at the competitions in Engelberg on December 27 and 28, where he once won took second and once third place.

At the Slovenian Championships in Planica in 2016 , Osterc took sixth place in the individual competition. On January 15, 2017, he made his debut in the World Cup in Wisła, Poland, and narrowly missed the points in 34th place.

At the Junior World Championships 2017 in Park City , Utah , Osterc won the gold medal in the team competition on the normal hill together with Žiga Jelar , Tilen Bartol and Bor Pavlovčič, ahead of Germany and Austria. A year later, at the 2018 Junior World Championships in Kandersteg, Switzerland, he finished fourth with the junior team and 21st in the individual. Although since then, with the exception of the home jumping in Kranj at the end of July 2018, he has only been used in the FIS Cup and the Alpine Cup, the association also nominated him for the 2019 Junior World Championships in Lahti , Finland , where he and his teammates Jan Bombek , Jernej Presečnik and Žak Mogel won the bronze medal in the junior team competition. In the mixed competition he was fifth and in the singles he reached 19th place.
