Eva Logar (born March 8, 1991 in Ljubljana ) is a former Slovenian ski jumper .

Career

In 2003 she made her international debut in the jumping of the FIS Ladies Tour . On January 16, 2005, she started in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup (COC) for the first time . Already at her first competition in Planica she was able to win COC points with 17th place. At the Junior World Championships in 2006 in Kranj , she was seventh. A year later she jumped to 15th place in Tarvisio . In 2008 she could only reach 19th place in Zakopane and in 2009 in Štrbské Pleso the 14th place. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2009 Logar reached the 27th place on the normal hill.

For the 2009/10 season she could always finish the summer competitions in the top ten, with the exception of one competition in Lillehammer . At the Slovenian Ski Jumping Championships in Kranj in 2009 , she won her first national title ahead of Špela Rogelj and Barbara Klinec . Logar got off to a successful start in the 2009/10 winter season. In her first competition in Rovaniemi , she narrowly missed the podium with fourth place. Also in February in Ljubno , she succeeded in this placement. After she never achieved placements outside the top 20 in any of the season's competitions and even finished the season with a podium in Zakopane , she finished fourth in the overall Continental Cup ranking. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2010 in Hinterzarten , she finished tenth.

After experiencing a small drop in performance at the beginning of the Summer Continental Cup, she was able to jump back into the top 10 from October 2010. With third place in Hinterzarten in January, she was able to fight for a podium again before she even reached second place in Ljubno. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2011 in Otepää , Estonia , Logar jumped to seventh place in the individual. After she reached the podium again in Zakopane, she started in singles at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo on February 25, 2011 and immediately reached fourth place, narrowly missing a medal. She finished the 2010/11 season in third place and was able to improve one place over the previous year.

For the newly created ski jumping World Cup for women, she did not get a starting place for the 2011/12 season and remained in the Continental Cup squad, where she also did not start. In the summer of 2012, she successfully jumped in the newly introduced Ski Jumping Grand Prix and achieved the points in Courchevel , Hinterzarten and Almaty . In the end she came in 11th overall. Then she got her first start in the World Cup on November 23, 2012. With the mixed team, she reached seventh place in Lillehammer , before jumping to 20th place in the individual one day later and thus also winning her first World Cup points in her first individual World Cup. On February 2, 2013 in Sapporo , she missed her first World Cup podium by just one place with fourth place in the World Cup. Despite good performances, Logar did not get a starting place for the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme due to the high level of performance in the Slovenian team . At the Slovenian Ski Jumping Championships 2013 on March 5, 2013 Logar won her second championship title after 2009 in Kranj ahead of Urša Bogataj and Špela Rogelj .

In the 2013 Summer Grand Prix she consistently jumped among the top 15 and achieved two fourth places in Almaty as the best individual results. In the overall standings, she finished fifth with 180 points, her best career result. At the Winter Universiade 2013 in Predazzo she took fourth place in the individual and sixth place in the mixed team competition. At the Olympic premiere of women's ski jumping in Sochi , she finished 27th.

In the 2014 Summer Grand Prix , which consisted of only two competitions in Almaty, she finished fourth and sixth in the individual competitions and sixth in the overall ranking. This was the second time in a row that she reached the top ten in the overall Grand Prix standings. In the 2014/15 World Cup season she always jumped into the points with eleventh place in Oberstdorf as the best result of the season. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun in 2015 , she finished 26th in the individual. In the 2015/16 season , she was always among the top 30 in the World Cup. Her best result of the season was tenth place in Almaty.

On July 2nd and 3rd, 2016, she won the two FIS Cup competitions in Villach and thus her first FIS Cup victories. At the Slovenian Championships in Planica in 2016 , she won the bronze medal behind Maja Vtič and Ema Klinec . In the 2016/17 World Cup season , she did not match her performance in previous years. Her best placement of the season was 15th place in Zaō , but she also missed points several times.

In the summer of 2017, Logar competed in the FIS Cup in Villach, where she finished sixth and eleven. She ended her career in early August 2017.
