Lü Qin

Lü Qin ( Chinese  吕钦 ) (born August 1962 in Huizhou ) is a Chinese Xiangqi world champion.

Lü started to train Xiangqi professionally in 1978. In 1986, 1988, 1999, 2003 and 2004 he became the Chinese master. In 1983, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1996 and 1997 he finished second and in 1982 and 2006 third in the Chinese championship. In 1990, 1992 and 1999 Lü won the silver Li Cup . In 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1995, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2009 he won the Wu-Yang-Cup. In 1994 Lü received the title of King and defended it when he won the Peng Chang Cup in 1998. In 1996 and 1997 he won the Richwood Real Estate Cup. He won the second Guangyang Cup in 1997. In 1997, he also prevailed in a game with a short reflection period on television.

Lü won the Asian Cup five times with the Chinese team and in September 2009 the individual title at the 14th Asian Championship. In 1985 he won the Asian City Championship. In 1990, 1995, 1997, 2001 and 2005 Lü won the individual and team world championships for China. In 1997 he won the Forshang Cup.

Lui's team won the Chinese Xiangqi League in 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2008. In 2005 the team reached second place.

At the second Asian Indoor Games in November 2006, Lü won the Xiangqi team championship.

He trains athletes in Guangdong.
