Nozomi Maruyama started on July 12th and 13th, 2014 for the first time as part of two competitions in Villach in the FIS Cup , where she finished 19th and 13th. This was followed by further starts in the FIS Cup, where she won two competitions in Planica and one in Chaux-Neuve in February and March 2018 .
On September 10, 2016, Maruyama made her debut in Trondheim in the Continental Cup , where she finished 19th. Your best placement in a competition of the Continental Cup is a fifth place on August 18, 2017 in Oberwiesenthal . Two attempts to qualify for the stations of the Ski Jumping World Cup 2016/17 in January 2017 in Sapporo and Zaō narrowly failed with places 41 and 44. She then finished 23rd in the individual at the 2017 Junior World Championships in Park City, USA and fifth place with the junior team. In the following year, she reached 22nd place in the individual, sixth place with the junior team and seventh place with the mixed team at the Junior World Championships , which this time were held in Kandersteg , Switzerland .
For the 2018/19 season, Maruyama took part in the competitions of the Ski Jumping Grand Prix 2018 for the first time. While her best placement in the individual was a 12th place in Tchaikovsky on September 9, 2018, she took first place in the mixed team competition, which was held for the first time, together with Yukiya Satō , Sara Takanashi and Junshirō Kobayashi and thus celebrated her first victory in the summer -Grand-Prix. On December 1, 2012, she dubbed the World Cup in Lillehammer, Norway, and was 29th to get her first World Cup points. On February 2, 2019, in Hinzenbach, Austria, she achieved her best World Cup result so far in eleventh place. At the 2019 World Championships in Seefeld in Tirol , she was sixth with the Japanese women's team. In the individual competition, she took 17th place.
