The 4th Raw Air 2020 is a series of ski jumping competitions that will take place between March 6th and 15th, 2020 as part of the 2019/20 Ski Jumping World Cup . The competitions are all held in Norway on four different hills, namely (in chronological order) on the large hills of Oslo , Lillehammer and Trondheim and for the men on the ski jumping hill in Vikersund .
The defending champions of Raw Air 2019 are the Japanese Ryōyū Kobayashi and the Norwegian Maren Lundby .
Because of to 22 March 2020 of 20 in Planica discharged FIS Ski Flying World Championships Raw Air 2020, into already on 15 March 2020 as part Vikersund held the World Cup final of the men. However, discussions between the FIS and the Norwegian Ski Association took place for a long time, as usually only the top 30 of the overall World Cup ranking are allowed to start at the last World Cup competition, which would have made an important qualifying competition for Raw Air superfluous. The conflict was resolved in favor of the Raw Air format.
On March 12, 2020, the World Cup season was ended prematurely during the ongoing Raw Air due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Raw Air was canceled. Up to this point in time, Raw Air took place under exclusion from the audience; The 2020 Ski Flying World Championships should also originally take place without spectators.
