Wolny, who started for the LKS Klimczok Bystra club , made his international debut after starting in the juniors in 2008 as part of the FIS Cup in Szczyrk in January 2011. In September 2012 he won FIS Cup points in Wisła as 19th for the first time .
In August 2013, Wolny made his debut in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . He jumped twice in the points in Kuopio and also reached a top 20 place twice. At the following two FIS Cup competitions in Zakopane , he was able to achieve his first podium in third and also landed in the top ten in the second competition. As a result, Wolny was part of the Polish B-squad in the Continental Cup.
In Engelberg , Wolny jumped into the top ten of the Continental Cup for the first time in December. After he got good places in Courchevel at the beginning of January , he got a place in the national group for the Ski Jumping World Cup . After he qualified for the competition, he dropped out on his World Cup debut after the first round and ended up in 45th place.
In the summer, Wolny started in the Ski Jumping Grand Prix 2014 . He already scored the first points in Wisła. In the following Continental Cup competitions in the same place, he twice missed first podium in this series as fourth. At the Grand Prix in Hakuba he finished 11th and 13th on two good top placings. As a result, he won a total of three Continental Cup competitions in Klingenthal and Stams . He finished the Grand Prix after a 15th place in Hinzenbach with a fall in the qualification in Klingenthal and reached 36th place overall.
Due to the knee injury, Wolny had to suspend the first competitions of the 2014/15 season.
