Michail Andrejewitsch Nazarow ( Russian Михаил Андреевич Назаров ; born October 14, 1994 in Moscow ) is a Russian ski jumper .

Career

Mikhail Nazarov began his career at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2011 in Liberec , where he finished 43rd in the individual competition. Two years later he made his debut in the FIS Cup in Zakopane in February 2013 and finished 46th and 58th. After further participation in the FIS Cup, Nasarow started in December 2013 at the Winter Universiade 2013 in Trentino , where he competed in the individual competitions reached 33rd and 31st place. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2014 in Predazzo , he finished 31st in the individual and ninth place with the Russian team. On March 1 and 2, 2014, Nazarow started in Falun for the first time in the Continental Cup , but only finished 50th and 48th. After that, there were no further international starts until summer 2016.

At the 2017 Winter Universiade in Almaty , Kazakhstan , Nazarow achieved seventh place in the team competition together with Alena Sutiagina . Thereupon he was in the Russian squad for Raw Air 2017 , but could not qualify for all four individual competitions. However, since the points from the qualification rounds are also counted, Nazarow finished 68th in the overall Raw Air ranking with 423.9 points. He also made his World Cup debut on March 18, 2017 with his involvement in the team competition in Vikersund , but only achieved eleventh place with the Russian team. At the World Cup final in Planica , he qualified for an individual World Cup for the first time. On March 24, 2017, he made his debut in individual jumping and finished in 40th place.

On August 29, 2017, Nasarow started for the first time in an individual competition in the Summer Grand Prix in Hinterzarten and just barely missed his first Grand Prix points as 31st, which he took two weeks later as 18th in Courchevel . The following winter he was a permanent member of the Russian World Cup team. During the entire World Cup season, however, he did not get past 34th place on the Kulm and thus missed scoring his first points. At the Ski Flying World Championships 2018 in Oberstdorf , he finished 30th in the individual and seventh with the Russian team. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he started as an Olympic athlete from Russia and competed in all three competitions. In the individual competition on the normal hill he took 34th place and in the individual competition on the large hill the 39th place. With the Russian team he was seventh in the team competition on the large hill . At Raw Air 2019 , where he was 26th overall, he finished 30th in ski flying from Vikersundbakken and thus scored his first World Cup point.
