Joacim Ødegård Bjøreng made his first appearance with the seniors in the FIS Cup of the 2013/14 season: On December 12, 2013 on Tveitanbakken ( K 90 ) in Notodden , he finished sixth after finishing 16th in the first round. The next day he finished ninth there. In February 2014 he finished 11th and 13th in Brattleboro , Vermont . On December 11th and 12th, 2014, he won the FIS Cup jumping competitions in Notodden with the largest distance of the day (on the 11th in the first round and on the 12th . in both rounds). On December 20, 2014, he won the Norges Cup in Vikersund ahead of Atle Pedersen Rønsen , Kim René Elverum Sorsell and other experienced jumpers such as Anders Jacobsen , Tom Hilde , Andreas Stjernen and Kenneth Gangnes .
Because of his good FIS Cup and Norges Cup results, he was nominated for the Continental Cup . On December 27th and 28th, 2014, at his first appearance on the Gross-Titlis-Schanze in Engelberg , he got a sixth and a seventh place in the top 10. He was on the podium in the Continental Cup for the first time on January 24, 2015 on the Bloudkova Velikanka , the large hill in Planica . Behind Anže Lanišek and Tomaž Naglič he came third there. On August 8th, 2015 Bjøreng won the summer continentacup show jumping in Wisła .
At the Summer Grand Prix on August 11, 2018 at Tremplin du Praz in Courchevel, France , he achieved his best result to date at the top level with tenth place and thus at the end of the season he was 50th overall in the series.
