Sophie Sorschag (born November 14, 1998 ) is an Austrian ski jumper .

Career

Sophie Sorschag played soccer in her youth and was a midfielder in the women's team at SK Grafendorf / Obergailtal before switching to the special jumpers. She started on August 7th and 8th, 2016 for the first time in two competitions in Klingenthal in the Ski Jumping Alpine Cup , where she finished 33th and 29th. As a result, she competed more times in Alpine Cup competitions in Germany, Austria and Slovenia. On February 24th and 25th, 2018, she started in Villach for the first time in the FIS Cup , where she finished 29th and 28th place. On January 19 and 20, 2019, Sorschag made her debut in Planica in the Continental Cup , where she achieved a podium finish and Continental Cup points with third and seventh places. Ultimately, she finished the season in eleventh place in the overall standings and in sixth place in the winter standings.

Sorschag lives in Reisach and Innsbruck . She is studying to be a teacher.
