Reisach (Slov. Riže) is a village and a cadastral municipality of Kirchbach in the Gailtal . The place has about 600 inhabitants.

history

Reisach was first mentioned in a document in 1039. Until the municipal reform carried out on January 1, 1973, Reisach was an independent political municipality.

A first church was built around 1330, and in 1355 Reisach was named as a vicariate . Today's Reisach parish church is a late Classicist building from 1850. Southeast of the village in the river valley is the branch church of St. Anastasia , which was first mentioned in a document in 1600.
