Robin Mattias Johannes Pedersen (born August 31, 1996 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian ski jumper .

Career

Robin Pedersen started on December 12th and 13th, 2013 for the first time in two competitions in Notodden in the FIS Cup , where he finished 15th and 12th. After a two-year break, there were two more starts at the competitions in Notodden in December 2015; this time he finished fourth and third. A week later he made his debut on December 19 and 20, 2015 in Rovaniemi in the Continental Cup , where he achieved 15th and 24th place and thus also his first Continental Cup points. This was followed by further starts in the Continental Cup.

At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2016 in Râșnov , Romania , Pedersen finished 22nd in the individual competition and won the silver medal in the team competition together with Are Sumstad , Marius Lindvik and Halvor Egner Granerud .

His debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup finally took place in March 2018 , when Pedersen competed in the competitions in Oslo and Lillehammer as part of the Norwegian national group as part of Raw Air 2018 . Both times he missed the second round and reached the 38th and 42nd place. The following summer, Pedersen competed several times in the Ski Jumping Grand Prix 2018 . While he missed two starts in individual events with places 49 and 32 the first Grand Prix points, he reached on September 8, 2018 at the inaugural mixed-team competition in Tchaikovsky together with Anna Odine Strøm , Maren Lundby and Fredrik Bjerkeengen the third place and thus his first podium finish.

In the Continental Cup season 2018/19 started Pedersen with a third place in Lillehammer on December 8, 2018 and thus his first podium finish in the Continental Cup. The following weekend, on December 15 and 16, he surprisingly won both Continental Cup competitions in Lahti . He was then nominated for the Norwegian team at the Four Hills Tournament 2018/19 and was able to achieve his first World Cup point in the New Year's competition on the Great Olympic Hill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen as 30th.
