Strøm in Lillehammer (2016)

Anna Odine Strøm (born April 17, 1998 in Alta ) is a Norwegian ski jumper . Her greatest successes so far are the bronze medals in the women's and mixed team competitions at the 2019 World Ski Championships in Seefeld in Tyrol .

Career

Strøm made her international debut on February 18, 2012 at a Continental Cup competition in Liberec . There she was disqualified because of a non-compliant suit. A year later Strøm took part in the same position at the Junior World Championships . While she missed the second round in the individual with 38th place, she finished fourth with the team.

Then she started again in the Continental Cup, where she was able to collect the first points and was thus entitled to start in the ski jumping World Cup . In her World Cup debut in Lillehammer , Norway , Strøm jumped to 34th place on December 7, 2013. The following week, she achieved her first podium finish in the Continental Cup in Notodden, behind her compatriots Anette Sagen and Gyda Enger . At the 2018 Junior World Championships in Kandersteg , Switzerland , she won the world title with the Norwegian mixed team and came third in the individual.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol , Strøm won the bronze medal in the team competition with the team that also included Ingebjørg Saglien Bråten , Silje Opseth and Maren Lundby . After finishing ninth in the individual competition, she won her second bronze medal in the final mixed team competition together with Robert Johansson , Maren Lundby and Andreas Stjernen .
