Ingebjørg Saglien Bråten (born September 20, 1999 in Nord-Aurdal ) is a Norwegian ski jumper . Her greatest sporting success so far is winning the bronze medal in team jumping at the 2019 World Championships in Seefeld in Tyrol .
Career
Ingebjørg Saglien Bråten made her debut on March 11 and 12, 2016 in Harrachov in the FIS Cup , where she finished 34th and 38th. Then she went to another competition in the FIS Cup in Einsiedeln in September. On September 10, 2016, Bråten started in Lillehammer for the first time in the Continental Cup , where she finished 29th and at the same time scored her first Continental Cup points. Since then she has regularly competed in the Continental Cup, her best placement so far was an eleventh place in Notodden on December 16, 2017.
At the 2018 Junior World Championships in Kandersteg , Switzerland , Bråten took 49th place in the individual competition. In the team competition, she achieved fifth place together with Eirin Maria Kvandal , Silje Opseth and Anna Odine Strøm .
On November 30, 2018, Bråten made her debut in the 2018 Lillehammer Triples in the ski jumping World Cup and finished in 27th, 31st and 17th place, with which she also scored her first World Cup points. At the 2019 Junior World Championships in Lahti , Finland , Bråten won the silver medal together in the mixed team competition with Fredrik Villumstad , Silje Opseth and Thomas Aasen Markeng . In the individual competition, she came in 30th and reached 9th with the Norwegian junior team.
At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2019 , Bråten won the bronze medal in team jumping with the team, which also included Anna Odine Strøm , Silje Opseth and Maren Lundby . In the individual competition she finished 25th.
Bråten was part of the Norwegian squad at the first four stations of the 2019/20 World Cup season , but mostly missed qualifying for the competitions. At the team competition in Yamagata she reached the podium for the first time in the World Cup together with Anna Odine Strøm, Silje Opseth and Maren Lundby as third. In the further course of the season Bråten started in the Continental Cup , but there were also no good results. Nevertheless, she was scheduled for the national group at Raw Air 2020 , but had to end her season early in March due to a training crash.
