Nicole Maurer (born January 28, 2000 in Calgary ) is a Canadian ski jumper .

Career

Nicole Maurer starts for the Altius Nordic Ski Club . She made her debut on July 11 and 12, 2015 in Villach in the FIS Cup , where she finished 22nd and 17th. Her next competition participation in September 2015 in Midtstuen , Oslo was also her debut in the Continental Cup ; there she reached places 21 and 25.

At the Junior World Championships 2017 in Park City , Utah , Maurer reached 18th place in the individual competition. In the women's team competition, she reached sixth place together with Eleora Hamming , Abigail Strate and Natasha Bodnarchuk and in the mixed team competition together with Matthew Soukup , Abigail Strate and Ronald Read in eleventh and penultimate place.

On February 15 and 16, 2017, Maurer started the Ski Jumping World Cup for the first time in Pyeongchang , where she finished 26th and 24th, collecting her first World Cup points. Even if no further participation in the World Cup took place in the 2016/17 season , she finished 48th in the overall ranking with 12 points.

At the beginning of February 2017 she was nominated by the Canadian Ski Association together with MacKenzie Boyd-Clowes , Joshua Maurer , Taylor Henrich and Natasha Bodnarchuk for the Canadian squad at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti . Maurer came in 39th in the individual competition.
