The winter sports facility Midtstuen in Oslo , Norway consists of a normal hill of category K 95 (Midtstubakken), a medium hill of category K 60 (Midtstulia rekruttanlegg), as well as three small ski jumping hills of categories K 10, K 20, K 40 , all with plastic mattings are occupied. It is located on the Holmenkollen near the Holmenkollbakken .
The Midtstubakken was built in 1955. During the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1966 , the combined athletes jumped there. The hill was modernized before the 1982 World Cup . For the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2011 it was renovated again and enlarged to a hill size of 106 meters and covered with mats. In July 2011, the construction work for the four youth ski jumping hills K 10, K 20, K 40 and K 60 began. The four ski jumps were supposed to be inaugurated in February 2012, but actually they were not officially opened until September 23, 2012. The total cost was 60 million crowns (8 million euros). The former heating room "Diamant" was removed on top of the inrun tower of the old - meanwhile demolished - Holmenkollbakken in April 2008 and rebuilt as a lounge next to the new youth hill.
