Ma Tong ( Chinese 马 彤 , born March 2, 1994 ) is a Chinese ski jumper .

Career

Ma made her international debut on January 8th 2011 at the Ladies Winter Tour 2011 in Schonach . She got her first Continental Cup points in Braunlage on January 15th. At the end of the tour, she finished 33rd overall. At her first Junior World Championships in 2011 in Otepää , she finished 41st and at her first Nordic World Ski Championships in 2011 in Oslo , she reached 39th place. At the end of the Continental Cup season she reached 76th place in the 2010/11 overall ranking. On February 11, 2012, she made her debut in the World Cup in Ljubno , finished 33rd and just missed the second round. In the further course of the 2011/12 World Cup season , it was no longer used. At her second Junior World Championships in Erzurum in 2012 , she finished tenth in the individual and seventh in the team.

After she did not take part in any international competition in the 2012/13 season, she started in the FIS Cup for the first time in summer 2013 . In Frenštát pod Radhoštěm , she finished sixth. In the 2013/14 World Cup season , she only made two starts in Tchaikovsky . With a disqualification and a 47th place, she again missed the points. At the Winter Universiade 2015 in Štrbské Pleso , she finished eighth in the individual, fourth in the team competition and eighth in the mixed team competition. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2015 in Falun , Sweden , she missed the individual competition as 33rd in the qualification.

In August 2015 she started at the two COC jumping competitions in Oberwiesenthal . She finished 31st and 30th, earning a COC point for the first time since February 2012. In the 2015/16 World Cup season , she missed qualifications several times and never reached the competition. It was used at several locations in the 2016/17 World Cup season . Her best positions of the season were twice 39th place in Hinzenbach . At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti , Finland , she missed qualifying as 33rd and thus the same result as two years earlier in the individual competition.

During the 2018/19 season, she again stayed a complete season without participating in an international competition. In the summer of 2018, she finished 26th and 27th in the two Continental Cup competitions from Midtstubakken in Oslo , making it two points. In the 2018/19 World Cup season , she was part of the Chinese team that took part in a women's team competition in the World Cup for the first time on January 19, 2019 in Zaō . She finished eighth with only eight participants. On January 27, she improved her best World Cup placement to 32nd place in Râşnov , but remained without World Cup points.
