Claudia Purker (born January 15, 1999 ) is an Austrian Nordic combined athlete who was previously active as a ski jumper .

Career

Ski jumping

Claudia Purker started her first jumping attempts in 2010 and started her ski jumping career a year later.

On December 21st and 22nd, 2013 she made her international debut by taking part in a stage of the Alpencup in Rastbüchl , where she finished third and fourth.

At the beginning of 2015 Purker fell on the stage of the Alpencup in Seefeld and was seriously injured. After an injury break and re-entry, Purker took part for the first time in two Continental Cup competitions in Notodden , Norway on December 11 and 12, 2015 , in which she finished fourth and fifth. At the Junior World Championships in 2016 in Râșnov , Romania , she won the silver medal in the mixed team competition together with Maximilian Steiner , Chiara Hölzl and Janni Reisenauer and was eighth in the individual. A year later, it was enough to finish third at the 2017 Junior World Championships in Park City, USA with the junior team together with Sophie Mair , Elisabeth Raudaschl and Julia Huber , while this time she was sixth with the mixed team and 16th in the individual. has been. At the 2018 Junior World Championships in Kandersteg , Switzerland , she won the bronze medal with the Austrian mixed team with Jan Hörl , Sophie Mair and Clemens Leitner and was seventh with the junior team and 17th in the individual competition. On December 15, 2018, she won a Continental Cup jumping competition for the first time on Tveitanbakken in Notodden. On February 6th and 7th, 2016 Claudia Purker finally made her debut in the World Cup in Hinzenbach , where she even managed to get into the points once with places 26 and 32. After two more World Cup appearances in Ljubno , Slovenia , where she reached places 27 and 35, Purker finally finished the 2015/16 season in the overall standings with nine points in 47th place. In the following years she could not reach the points.
