Career

Maximilian Steiner starts for the WSV Bad Ischl-NTS-Upper Austria . On July 14th and 15th, 2012 he made his debut in Villach in the FIS-Cup and reached places 40 and 41. His next competition participation took place within the framework of the Alpencup in Planica in January 2013, where he finished 32th and 36th. Since that season, he has regularly taken part in both series of competitions, and to date he has won three competitions in the FIS Cup and one competition in the Alpine Cup.

On January 30 and 31, 2016, Steiner made his debut in the Continental Cup in Bischofshofen , where he finished 41st and 37th, whereupon more frequent starts in the Continental Cup took place in the 2016/17 season . His best placement in the Continental Cup so far was a second place at the competition in Kuopio on August 20, 2016. This was also his first podium finish in the Continental Cup.

At the beginning of January 2016, Steiner was nominated along with five other young jumpers in the national group of Austria for the competitions in Innsbruck and Bischofshofen as part of the Four Hills Tournament 2016/17 . As 51st in the qualification, however, he could only just barely qualify for the competition in Innsbruck; at the competition in Bischofshofen, he did not start in favor of other athletes.

Steiner currently lives in Ebensee .
