Marija Artjomowna Jakowlewa ( Russian Мария Артёмовна Яковлева ; born June 7, 1999 in Saint Petersburg ) is a Russian ski jumper .

Career

Marija Jakowlewa began her career by making her debut in the Continental Cup in Lahti at her first competition start on February 15 and 16, 2014 , where she finished 16 and 14. Then she took part in two competitions of the FIS Cup for the first time on July 12 and 13 in Villach , where she finished 38th and 23rd.

On January 11, 2015, Jakowlewas made his debut in the World Cup in Sapporo ; Here she reached 40th place. At the end of January 2015 she was fifth in the individual competition at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2015 in Tschagguns and won the silver medal in the mixed team competition together with Maxim Sergejew , Sofja Tichonowa and Kirill Kotik . A little later, Jakowlewa won at the beginning of February 2015 at the Junior World Ski Championships 2015 in Almaty in the team competition together with Darja Gruschina , Alexandra Kustowa and Sofja Tichonowa and also achieved ninth place in the individual competition.

On September 5 and 6, 2015, Yakovleva competed in Tchaikovsky for the first time in the Summer Grand Prix and reached places 24 and 28.

At the 2017 Junior World Ski Championships in Park City , Utah , Jakowlewa took seventh place in the team competition together with Alexandra Kustowa, Xenija Kablukowa and Sofja Tichonowa.

In August 2017, with a fifth place in Oberwiesenthal , she achieved her best placement in the Continental Cup to date. She was able to top this on December 15, 2017 with second place on the Tveitanbakken in Notodden , Norway . At the 2019 Junior World Ski Championships in Lahti , Finland , she and her teammates Alexandra Baranzewa , Lidija Jakowlewa and Anna Schpynjowa were team world champions, while in the individual she was only 21st.

At the Russian ski jumping championships in 2020 in Nizhny Tagil , Yakovlewa became Russian champion with the team. In addition, she won the overall ranking of ten competitions in the Russia Cup 2019/20 in Nordic Combined at national level .
