Anna Alexandrovna Schpynjowa ( Russian Анна Александровна Шпынёва ; born January 3, 2002 ) is a Russian ski jumper . She became three-time world champion at the Junior World Championships in Lahti in 2019 (in the individual, with the women and with the mixed team) and also achieved the gold medal at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games .

Career

Anna Schpynjowa starts for Saint Petersburg Sdusshor . She took part in a competition of the FIS Cup for the first time on July 9 and 10, 2016 in Szczyrk, Poland , where she finished fifth and fourth. Her next participation in the competition on August 26th and 27th, 2016 in Oberwiesenthal was also her debut in the Continental Cup , in which she finished 26th and 24th. A year later, on August 18 and 19, 2017, she started again in the same location in the Continental Cup and initially narrowly missed the podium in the first competition with fourth place and took her first podium in the Continental Cup with third place in the second competition.

On November 15, 2018, Spynjowa achieved her best Continental Cup result to date with second place on the Tveitanbakken in Notodden, Norway . She was then nominated for the World Cup competitions in Lillehammer from November 30th to December 2nd, 2018, but missed the points in all three competitions of the weekend. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2019 in Lahti , Finland , she won both individually and with the team (with Marija Jakowlewa , Alexandra Baranzewa and Lidija Jakowlewa ) and the mixed team (with Michail Purtow , Lidija Jakowlewa and Maxim Sergejew ) World title. On February 8, 2019, she was able to win her first World Cup points while jumping on the Logarska dolina in Ljubno, Slovenia, in 17th place.

In her first participation in a world championship , Schpynjowa was best Russian with a 12th place in 2019 in Seefeld . Together with Alexandra Kustowa , Lidija Jakowlewa and Sofija Tichonowa , she was fifth in the first team competition. In the final mixed team competition she was seventh with the Russian team. At the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Prémanon , Schpynjowa won the gold medal ahead of Joséphine Pagnier . In mid-February 2020, Schpynjowa became Russian champion with the team at the 2020 Russian championships in Nizhny Tagil and also won the silver medal in both the individual and the mixed team.
