Alexandra Ilyinichna Baranzewa ( Russian Александра Ильинична Баранцева ; born December 22, 2001 in Kirov ) is a Russian ski jumper .

Career

Alexandra Baranzewa started in Einsiedeln for the first time in the FIS Cup on September 3rd and 4th, 2016 , where she finished fifteen and sixth. She then took part in two other competitions in the FIS Cup. On December 16 and 17, 2016, Baranzewa was about to make her debut in the Continental Cup as part of two competitions in Râşnov , but she did not start in both competitions. She then started in February 2017 at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2017 in Erzurum, Turkey, and came in sixth in the individual competition. Baranzewa's debut in the Continental Cup finally took place on August 18 and 19, 2017 in Oberwiesenthal , where she finished 13th and 14th. At her next participation in a competition of the Continental Cup almost a month later in Trondheim , she finished on the podium for the first time with a second place. On September 9 and 10, 2017, Baranzewa competed in Tchaikovsky for the first time in the Summer Grand Prix .

At her first World Cup start on December 1, 2017 in Lillehammer , Norway , she finished 29th in the points straight away. A good two weeks later she won her first Continental Cup show jumping on the Tveitanbakken in Notodden . She achieved her best World Cup result so far as 16th on January 28th 2018 on the Logarska dolina in Ljubno, Slovenia . She then finished 14th in singles and sixth with the mixed team at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2018 in Kandersteg, Switzerland . In 2019 she was nominated for the Junior World Championships , this time in Lahti, Finland . This time she was able to win the world title with the Russian team, which also included Marija Jakowlewa , Lidija Jakowlewa and Anna Schpynjowa , while she was eighth in the individual competition.
