Maxim Alexejewitsch Sergejew ( Russian Максим Алексеевич Сергеев ; born June 16, 1999 in Leninogorsk ) is a Russian ski jumper .
Career
Maxim Sergejew started internationally for the first time as part of the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2015 in Tschagguns , where he finished 36th in the individual and second in the mixed team competition together with Marija Jakowlewa , Sofja Tichonowa and Kirill Kotik .
On September 26th and 27th, 2015 Sergejew started in Rasnov for the first time in the FIS Cup , where he finished 34th and 40th. Since then he has regularly participated in FIS Cup competitions.
At the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer , Sergejew took eighth place in the individual competition, and in the team competition he missed the podium with Sofja Tichonowa and Vitaly Ivanov with a fourth place.
On February 18 and 19, 2017, Sergejew made his debut in Planica in the Continental Cup , where he was disqualified in the first competition and reached 44th place in the second competition. As a result, despite regular further Continental Cup participations, he has only managed to achieve a top 30 placement and thus Continental Cup points (as of March 2020) with a 30th place in December 2018 in Lillehammer to reach.
At the Junior World Championships 2018 in Kandersteg , Switzerland , Sergejew finished 31st in the individual competition. In the team competition on the normal hill, he took eighth place with the Russian team together with Kirill Kotik, Alexander Marchukow and Michail Purtow , in the mixed team competition he took eighth place with Alexandra Baranzewa , Lidija Jakowlewa and Kirill Kotik took sixth place.
At the Junior World Championships 2019 in Lahti , Sergejew finished 25th in the individual competition and seventh in the team competition on the normal hill together with Danil Sadreev , Alexander Loginow and Michail Purtow. In the mixed team competition , Sergejew won the gold medal for Russia together with Lidija Jakowlewa , Anna Schpynjowa and Michail Purtow, ahead of Norway and Germany.
On February 9 and 15, 2019, Sergejew made his debut in two team competitions in Lahti and Willingen in the ski jumping World Cup ; Both times, however, the Russian team only finished tenth and thus missed the finals. Previously, the four attempts to qualify for a competition in the Four Hills Tournament 2018/19 failed . He also failed in the qualifications for the individual competitions of Raw Air 2019 ; in the team competitions, he took ninth and seventh place with the Russian team. In the overall Raw Air ranking he was 55th with 600.4 points.
